Software Team Lead / Engineering manager

My job as a Team Leader / Engineering manager of the software department at GPA Innova consists on ensuring the success of the different projects we carry on.

I work closely with the team of developers and stakeholders in various departments at different levels, giving advise and making recommendations based on risk, commercial factors, technical approach, and strategic objectives. Responsible for ensuring that the product vision is realised through execution, developing and communicating the roadmap and leading the delivery of major initiatives.

I can co-ordinate, plan and manage Dev sprint/release activities, taking responsibility for the entire project, understanding the overall project picture and making decisions/recommendations according to these in order to achieve successful delivery autonomously.

I give support to the engineering team in formulating the technical strategy needed to further increase platform performance and advocate on behalf of the team to keep them unblocked at all times and get them the resources they need but also empowering, leading, motivating, driving their career development and inspiring them to achieve their potential.

Finally, I help with hiring, on-boarding, training and mentoring engineers

I started developing some prototypes for different projects they had but nowadays I perform as a technical consultant and guide one of the companion from the software team to design architectures and functionalities according to the needs of the company.

Platform's (SaaS) development for GPASeabots. Our USV can visualize in real time data from the wide range of different sensors that can be equipped in the vehicles. The data gathered from the sensors can be used to perform water analysis or detect anomalies, among other functionalities.
